Harvest Moon: Land of Origin, the next game Marvelous’ highly popular Harvest Moon farm simulation series is set to be released in Japan next month. As such, a new trailer showing off some of the game’s new features.
Previous games have included festivals, but Land of Origin goes a step further by introducing holidays and anniversaries as well – let’s just hope there isn’t a penalty where you get locked out of the house and forced to sleep with the alpacas (yes, there will be alpacas) for forgetting your anniversary. I already got punished enough by my wife on A Wonderful Life when I was out late at night with my kid, only to find myself teleported to the house when it got too late, only to automatically end up on the doorstep. You will probably also notice character customisation, which is always a plus.
No western release date for this latest instalment has been announced at this time. The previous game, Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns was recently released in America on both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS (with the 3DS version as a western exclusive); the game will also be released in Europe at a currently unspecified date.
