Now, the one game that many were excited about since it’s announcement in June, is the promise of a new Super Smash Bros. game, not only for the Wii U but also a handheld version for the 3DS. All along though Masahiro Sakurai has said work cannot start until upcoming 3DS game Kid Icarus Uprising is finished. But with the title due for it’s release on the 23rd of March, Sakurai can now finally start to turn his attention to the Super Smash Bros. games.
In light of this, Masahiro Sakurai has recently posted on Twitter, stating how he is looking at the Smash Bros. Dojo, the website which was used to bring us details on the Wii’s Super Smash Bros. title Super Smash Bros. Brawl and acts as the official website. Looking over the site is his first steps before starting work on the new games.
While of course this doesn’t bring us any new details, it does confirm work has started in a way, and details will surely follow in the months and years to come (it has always been stated the new games are a few years off).
