Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed the winners of its “Famitsu Awards 2011” in a ceremony earlier today. A few categories were won by games on Nintendo systems, others were not. The Nintendo winners are as follows:
Game of the Year: Monster Hunter Tri G (Capcom)
Best Hit Prize: Mario Kart 7 (Nintendo)
Innovation Prize: StreetPass Mii Plaza (Nintendo)
Awards of Excellence: Super Mario 3D Land (Nintendo), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Nintendo), Mario Kart 7 (Nintendo)
Most Valuable Character Prize: Link (The Legend of Zelda).

Most Valuable Game Maker: CAPCOM
Most Valuable Person: Akihiro Hino (Level-5)
Rookie Prize: Catherine (Atlus)
Awards of Excellence: The Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki (Nihon Falcom), Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. (Namco Bandai Games), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Softworks), Dark Souls (From Software), Tales of Xillia (Namco Bandai Games), Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Square Enix) and Final Fantasy Type-0 (Square Enix).
