While no official confirmation of this game has come from Ubisoft themselves, a leaked trailer confirmed recent rumours of the sequel to the 3D Platformer Rayman Origins. While we don’t know much about the game, we gather from the trailer that there are new playable characters and the arrival of the online play, which was absent in the first game. The trailer also showed Wii U exclusive content, showing players using both a Wii U controller and Wii controller to play the game together. What was even more of a revelation was the confirmation of the controller using NFC (Near-filed Communication) to interact with the game. We see a love heart placed on the controller’s screen and then appear in game, as well as a Rabbid being placed and too, being put in the game. Another figure was that of Ezio, from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, could there be implementation of this figure in the game too? Hopefully we find out more at E3.
“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.”
