I imagine many of you are looking at the above headline and screaming like pre-teen girls who just caught a glimpse of Justin Bieber. Earlier on, we reported that the latest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine has hinted at a possible release for “Pokémon Conquest”. However, upon further inspection of the issue, another gem has appeared – Square Enix’s traditional role-playing-game “Bravely Default: Flying Fairy”, which currently doesn’t have an announced Japanese release date, has been slated by the magazine to be released over here in Winter 2012.
Now, does this mean a European release is confirmed? Maybe, maybe not. On the same preview page, they also have a section for Level 5’s “Guild 01” which is also listed as being out in Winter – yet the article finishes with “It’s out in Japan soon, so fingers crossed for a UK release” which indicates that one isn’t currently planned. Similar phrases are also found within the pieces for Agashima Entertainment’s “Code of Princess” and Chunsoft’s “Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward”, so it’s easy to assume that no release has been confirmed for those games yet (in fact, it is expressly said as such in Code of Princess’ preview). So, is one of those comments in the “Bravely Default: Flying Fairy” preview? No. No there is not.
Considering the buzz there is on the internet surrounding the game, it would probably be very silly of Square Enix to not release the game outside of Japan, but we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled.
