The “Harvest Moon” series of farm simulator games is a very popular one, so it is a bit confusing as to why this one has slipped under the radar. “Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns”, which was released in Japan in July 2010 and America in September 2011 (DS) and Novemer 2011 (3DS) will finally be released in Europe on 29th June 2012 – two years after Japan, courtesy of Rising Star Games.
The game gives the player the choice of living in Konohana (A Japanese-style town specialising in crops) or Bluebell (A European-style town, specialising in livestock). The two towns were good neighbours until they started bickering over who had the better cuisine (of all things) and it got to the point where the Harvest Goddess got fed up and destroyed the only path between the two towns, meaning that they only time they meet is at the Cooking Festival, which happens four times per season.
The game is being released on both Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.
