What did you think about Nintendo’s rather random Nintendo Direct announcement of next month’s new release – the Nintendo 3DS XL? I imagine it could be quite handy in regards to Nintendo Video, the videos on the eShop and for the American’s, Netflix. Satoru Shibata stated that in Europe, the console will not be coming with an AC Adapter as a way of keeping costs down, so that obviously made people wonder “Well, how much will it be?”. Well, now we know.
When the Nintendo 3DS XL launches on 28th July, Japanese fans will be expected to pay 19,800 yen, while Europeans will pay £179.99 (with a stated RRP of £199.99). When the system launches in America on 19th August, it will include the AC Adapter and will cost $199.99.
Do you own a Nintendo 3DS? If so, do you want the XL or not? As for the people who have yet to go 3D, would you prefer the regular or extra large version?
