For those following GameFreak, the developers of the “Pokémon” video game franchise, the fact that the company were working on a non-Pokémon game had been known for a long time. Still, the company surprised people worldwide by announcing said new game during the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast: “Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight” ; a mix between a rhythm game and a platformer for the Nintendo 3DS.
The game is the first non-Pokémon title produced by GameFreak since 2005’s Drill Dozer for the Gameboy Advance (and it was 1999’s “Click Medic” for the PlayStation before that; not counting the Gameboy Camera in 2000).
A demo is available on the Japanese eShop now, but the game is also set to be released in Japan tomorrow. An international release has yet to be confirmed.
