The inner otaku in me cheers every time an anime related game is released outside of Japan, so it’s no surprise that I was overjoyed when Hollie Bennett, the Consumer and Community PR Executive of Namco Bandai in the UK revealed on Twitter that the 3DS game Naruto: Powerful Shippuden will be released in Europe 0n 8th March 2013. This follows a similar announcement that the game will be headed to North America in that same month.
Naruto: Powerful Shippuden is a fighting game based on the recent “super deformed” (or chibi) comedy anime spin off series Naruto Spin Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, which in turn is based on a manga by Kenji Taira. The game was released in Japan this November under the name Naruto SD: Powerful Shippuden. The anime series that inspired this game can currently be viewed legally on Crunchyroll.
