Last year, SEGA, Capcom and Namco Bandai came together and thrown various of their franchises in the mix for Banpresto and Monolith Soft’s Project X-Zone, a crossover tactical role playing game that is exclusively available on the Nintendo 3DS. The game’s localisation status was one shrouded in doubt. Katsuhiro Harada (producer of the Tekken games) stated in September 2012 that he had proposed localisation of the game, but rather modest sales in Japan made many doubt that the game would ever be released outside of Japan.
Today however, Namco Bandai Games revealed that they will be publishing the game in North America, Europe and Australia in Summer 2012. The game will also be retaining the original Japanese voices (no doubt because casting and recording dialogue is a costly measure).
Many are sure to be thrilled with this news and hopefully Square Enix’s Bravely Default: Flying Fairy will join the localisation pot! (You can help by signing the official petition).
