British video game publisher Ghostlight is well known for distributing numerous Japanese Roleplaying Games into the European market, such as Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei and Idea Factory’s Agarest franchises. Recently, the company has been working on a way to release the Nintendo DS game Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 in Europe, which is tentatively planned for a September release.
However, it has been revealed by the company that in order for the game to be released, they will need a minimum of 1,800 pre-orders through the Ghostlight store to break even on the manufacturing costs by 30th August. If that number is not reached, then the game will not be able to be released and all pre-orders will be refunded.
If the game is released, everyone who pre-orders has the option of having their name added to the game’s manual, an A4 poster featuring the game’s cover art and a special gold coloured game logo on the inlay. The game can be pre-ordered by itself for £24.99, or as a bundle with the 3DS game Devil Survivor Overclocked for £49.98. If you pre-order the double pack but the Devil Survivor 2 release is cancelled, then you can receive Devil Survivor Overclocked with a £10 discount.
So if you want to see Devil Survivor 2 in Europe, make sure you pre-order!
