Last night, a website domain registration led to rumours that XSEED will be releasing a game from Marvelous AQL’s Senran Kagura series in the English market and this has since been confirmed by an official press release from the company: The second game in the busty action series (which also includes an updated version of the first game), Senran Kagura Burst (known in Japan as Senran Kagura Burst: The Crimson Girls) will be released as a Nintendo eShop exclusive in North America this Autumn. The game was previously released in Japan last August.
The game is set in an academy that serves as a front for a an underground school where girls are taught ninjutsu. The game features two separate story modes, with Skirting Shadows focusing on the “good shinobi” of the Hanzo Academy, while Crimson Girls focuses on the story from the point of view of the rival Hebijo Academy.
The original Japanese dialogue of the game is confirmed to have kept, which will be accompanied by English subtitles and will be uncensored.
Will this game be featured in the Nintendo Direct tomorrow? Personally, I’m hoping it is – if anything, to see Nintendo talk about it while keeping a straight face!
