Today, the Japanese TV show The Professionals aired an episode focusing on The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekaz Ishihara. During the episode, Ishihara talked about tentative plans for a Nintendo 3DS sequel to DS puzzle game Pokémon Link (Released outside of Europe as Pokémon Trozei). The program shown a roundtable discussing plans for the game, including it being a download title and the issue of the Nintendo 3DS’ top screen being larger than the bottom one.
The show then delved into the recent talk about a new game that would risk changing people’s perceptions of Pikachu. This untitled game is a Nintendo 3DS detective game featuring Pikachu as your partner, who is controlled via facial recognition and motion capture. A rare, blue Pikachu is said to be the enemy in this game, which won’t be released until at least 2015, but Ishihara reiterated previous comments that he is unsure about the game will be received.
Currently, neither game have been confirmed for release.
