Pokémon X and Pokémon Y may have only been out for a couple of months now, but undoubtedly many of you will have already been adventuring through Kalos and been catching and breeding a number of different Pokémon. Perhaps you’re beginning to run out of PC boxes to keep all these Pokémon in, or perhaps you’re just longing to have your Pokémon from past games join you in Kalos. Either way Pokémon Bank has you covered, giving you the space to store 3,000 Pokémon and also allowing you to transport Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2.
Today Nintendo have released a trailer for the app and also opened the official website for the app bringing us a few new details about the service. The trailer can be viewed right here.
Most notable of the details we’ve learnt are as follows:
Your Pokémon Bank account is tied to your Nintendo Network ID
Pokémon Bank ignores region locking and will read a game from any region which is inserted into the 3DS or 2DS system
You can transfer a full box of Pokémon at a time when transporting Pokémon from the fifth generation games
When you deposit Pokémon into Bank you can either get Poké Miles or Battle Points for doing so
After the free trail of the service ends even if you don’t pay for an annual pass you’ll still be able to withdraw your Pokémon for a short time before they’re lost for good.
More details can be found on the official site right here. Pokémon Bank will be released through the eShop on the 27th of December.
