Last week, we reported that the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV had release dates. Coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One at PC tomorrow (December 17th) and the day after for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 (December 18th), the DLC focuses on the story of Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale.
This DLC – also obtainable through the Season Pass – now has a new trailer! Check this out below. Also, we have a few new details on the story.
In the Freedom Cry DLC, Adewale is made to face his past. Set 15 years after the events of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in 18th century Haiti, Adewale sets out to assassinate enemies and free slaves. To do this he uses his Assassin training, utilizing new weapons such as a machete and blunderbuss. In the battles at sea, Adewale controls the Experto Crede, a ship that helps him take down the slavers of the Carribbean. The DLC’s self-contained story is composed of nine missions.
