It’s fair to say that Nintendo’s Intelligent Systems are a pretty good developer – in the first annual WiiUAndMii Awards, they won the prestigeous award for Developer of the Year and their hit 3DS RPG Fire Emblem: Awakening swept the competition with numerous awards including the coveted Game of the Year. Their work on Wii U title Game & Wario was also enough to earn it a nomination for Wii U Game of the Year (The way it uses the Wii U GamePad in so many different ways is simply…intelligent). Big things are coming from the developer this year, with the Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem collaboration with Atlus announced back in January 2013 (it’s about time we heard something more about that game). Nintendo clearly has a lot of faith in the developer behind the Fire Emblem and Paper Mario series’ as back in October 2013, work on a brand new house for them was complete:
Located in Kyoto, Japan behind the main Nintendo headquarters, Intelligent Systems now has a rather impressively sized building to call their own. Hopefully it won’t be long before we see more of what’s going on behind those new doors.
