Last September, Capcom released the highly anticipated 3DS-exclusive Monster Hunter 4, the latest in their action role playing series, in Japan to absolutely phenomenal sales. Today the company confirmed that an enhanced version, Monster Hunter 4G will be released this Autumn, which will allow save data to be transformed from the original title. For those of us in the west though, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has announced via a special message posted on YouTube that hunters in the west will be receiving this updated version as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which will be released in early 2015.
The game features a number of enhancements for the series, such as the addition of further vertical and lateral movement that helps to create a more fluid hunting experience and unlike the 3DS version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the game will support full online play.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, enhanced ports of the original Monster Hunter Tri Wii game were released on both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in North America and Europe last March.
