There’s no denying that the girls of Nintendo 3DS brawler Senran Kagura Burst are pretty strong – whether it’s Katsuragi pounding through hordes of enemies with her giant boots or Hibari overcoming her crippling self-confidence, the girls of the Hanzo and Hebijo Academies certainly are more than they seem. However, there is something stronger – the sales of the game they star in!
A fan recently asked XSEED Games, who were behind the localisation and North American distribution of Senran Kagura Burst about whether they would consider localisation any of the other games in the franchise, such as Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus on the PlayStation Vita or the recently announced Senran Kagura 2: Crimson for Nintendo 3DS and their answer was as follows:
Burst has sold well enough that we are open to considering other iterations in the series.
So there you have it! There is an opportunity for more life and hometown in the west!
While Senran Kagura Burst was digital only in North America, pQube released it in Europe on a physical cartridge as well and its sales managed to break into the Top 40 chart. Feel free to read our review of the game.
