Last month saw the European release of Senran Kagura Burst, Marvelous’ controversial brawler that had a heart as big as the girls’ erm…assets (well, except for Mirai). pQube were kind enough to let us review the game, which we loved. Earlier this month, XSEED Games (who localised and released the game in North America) revealed that sales have been strong enough for the company to consider localising other games in the franchise in the future.
While Senran Kagura shifted to the PlayStation Vita with Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus and Dekamori Senran Kagura, but on 7th August the girls of Hanzō and Hebijo Academy will be bursting out of their clothes – and Japanese gamers’ screens from 7th August when Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is released, which Marvelous has released a new trailer for:
While the original game was a single-player experience, it has already been revealed that the anticipated sequel will feature co-operative multiplayer modes. The game will also feature two new characters Kagura and Naaku. Players who have save data from Senran Kagura Burst will also be able to play as Murasame, Ikaruga’s older brother.
