Next Friday, Nintendo will be releasing Camelot Software Planning’s latest instalment in the Mario Golf sports video game series, with the Nintendo 3DS’ Mario Golf: World Tour. The game will already be offering a lot of content for fans, with 10 courses, 126 holes and both regional and worldwide tournaments. For players who want a little bit more though, the Japanese gaming giant will be offering additional playable characters and a whopping 108 holes as extra paid downloadable content.
The DLC for Mario Golf: World Tour will be released in three “packs”, each costing £5.39, with each one containing two new 18-hole courses and a new playable character.Players who wish to purchase all three packs can pay a discounted advance offer of £10.79 (which ends on 30th May, where the normal price of £13.49 will take effect) and not only will they be given access to new packs when they are made available, but they will also receive the special Gold Mario playable character (who will be available separately at a later date). The three currently announced packs are:
- Mushroom Pack featuring Toadette will be available from 2nd May.
- Flower Pack featuring Nabbit will be available at the end of May.
- Star Pack featuring Rosalina will be available from June.
Players who are interesting in trying a sample of the downloadable content stages before purchasing will be offered chances to participate in Trial Tournaments.
Mario Golf: World Tour will be released on 2nd May in both North America and Europe and will be available both as a physical cartridge and as a digital download from the Nintendo eShop.
