We’re only six weeks ago from the E3 convention in Los Angeles, where entertainment companies from across the globe will all gather to reveal and show off their latest products. For gamers, this is the biggest event of the year. Today, Nintendo of America took their YouTube channel to give the company’s millions of fans their first insight into what this event will mean for Nintendo:
- From 9am (local time) on 10th June 2014, Nintendo will be kicking off their Nintendo Digital Event. A brand new format in revealing the latest news to fans across the world.
- Throughout E3, fans will be able to receive a closer look at E3’s biggest Nintendo games with Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3, which will have employees of Nintendo’s “Treehouse” Product Development department giving unscripted in-depth footage of game demos directly from Nintendo’s booths.
- Sixteen of the world’s best Super Smash Bros. players will be invited to the NOKIA Threatre L.A. Live to take part in a special Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament called the Super Smash Bros. Invitational that will be live-streamed worldwide.
- For those who are unable to go to E3, North American retailer Best Buy will be offering fans a chance to try out Super Smash Bros. for Wii U themselves as part of the Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest.
Last year, Nintendo shocked fans and press alike when they opted to not to hold a traditional keynote conference and this year, they are once again exploring different ways to expand the reach of the event to fans across the world and even outside of the LA area.
