On Wednesday, The Pokémon Company shocked fans worldwide by suddenly dropping a trailer for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, the next main series games in the Pokémon franchise and enhanced remakes of the Gameboy Advance pair Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version. The announcement was made via a video that simply consisted of the games’ box art and a “November 2014” global release period, but as with all Pokémon games, it won’t be very long until we are given our first look at the game.
Pokémon fan site Serebii has confirmed that a Japanese TV commercial for the Pokémon Get☆TV variety show confirmed that the episode to air this Sunday feature the worldwide première of gameplay footage from the new games! As with past events, this is likely to be something pretty small, like how HeartGold/SoulSilver‘s was merely the main character taking a few steps in New Bark Town and Black/White‘s was the player character walking around the front of Castelia City for a few seconds.
