Do you remember Attack On Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind, Spike Chunsoft’s Nintendo 3DS game based on Hajime Isayama’s smash hit dark fantasy manga series? The game was released in Japan last December and as a direct result of the franchise’s surprising international popularity, the subject of the game being localised has been a hotly debated one.
Back in May, Spike Chunsoft revealed that they are currently seeking an international partner to publish the game and in August, it emerged that discussions with Bandai Namco fell through. However, it seems like the Japanese video game developer has finally found a distribution partner. A listing for the game under the basic name “Attack On Titan” has been discovered on the website of Australia’s rating board, which lists Atlus USA as the game’s publisher.
At time of writing, Atlus USA have yet to confirm any plans to release the game internationally, but we have reached out to them for comment. While we wait for a reply, feel free to read our review of the Japanese version of the game.
In December, Spike Chunsoft will be releasing Attack On Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind – Chain Edition, an updated version of the original game with new features such as online co-operative play, text chat and new missions.
