Re-Logic’s indie sandbox game Terraria has attracted a lot of favourable attention since it was first released on the PC in 2011, which was subsequently followed by ports on mobile, PlayStation and Microsoft platforms. You might notice that one name is missing there – indeed, Terraria has yet to launch of a Nintendo platform, but that is changing.
The German rating board USK has recently been updated to show ratings for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of Terraria, which will apparently be published by 505 Games, who have worked on the title’s previous console ports.
Back in January, the rental service GameFly was reported to have listed Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the games with a 31st October 2015 release date, which hinted towards physical releases of the game. We have reached out to 505 Games for comment and will update this article if we receive a response.
