Square Enix and Silicon Studios’ role-playing game sequel Bravely Second: End Layer has secured a strong debut in the United Kingdom’s sales charts, following its release last Friday. According to a listing compiled by GfK, the highly anticipated sequel entered the All-Format chart at #12, making it the third highest new entry behind Far Cry Primal and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, which placed first and second respectively. On the individual format chart that ranks the releases of multi-platform games per console as opposed to title, the game managed to reach #9.
Bravely Second: End Layer was also the highest selling game on a Nintendo platform, with the runner-up being Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon in 15th place on both listings. The two were the only games on Nintendo consoles to reach the Top 40 charts this week. On the Nintendo 3DS chart, the game’s predecessor Bravely Default saw a steady increase from #46 to #28.
