Whether you’re a competitive video gamer player or a national trading card game treasure, over the last few months you’ve likely been wondering when the Play! Pokémon series of National Championships would be arriving in Europe, giving you the platform needed to show your stuff and win enough Championship Points to enter the prestigious World Championships this summer.
This time, the festivities will be accompanied by the introduction of a brand-new pillar allowing fans of GameFrek’s world famous franchise to compete on a whole new playing field: Bandai Namco’s Pokkén Tournament. Originally released in Japanese arcades last year and with a Wii U port launching worldwide next week, the game will be supported with a championship series of its own that will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the already established Video Game and TCG circuits.
To coincide with this announcement, The Pokémon Company International confirmed the dates and locations for the National Championships across Europe, which are as follows:
United Kingdom: Liverpool, Exhibition Centre. 14-15th May 2016.
Germany: Kassel, Kongress Palais. 21-22nd May 2016.
Italy: Milan, Mediolanum Forum Assago MI. 11-12th June 2016.
