Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are making franchise history on 17 November, turning a trusted series convention on its head. For over 20 years, the introduction of brand new species has been reserved for the launch of whole new generations – massive chapters in Pokémon series history. Now however, a couple of brand new discoveries have just been made.
UB Assembly is exclusive to Pokémon Ultra Moon, whereas UB Burst is exclusive to the Ultra Sun version. Additionally, the games will feature brand new locations not present in Sun/Moon.
The legendary Necrozma will also be taking over Solgaleo and Lunala to acquire brand new forms, which adorn the covers of the two games – dubbed “Dusk Mane Necrozma” and “Dawn Wings Necrozma”, respectively.
The special event Rockruff, which has the ability to evolve into the brand new Dusk Form, will know a different moveset depending on the game it’s obtained in. It will be LV. 10 and hold a Focus Band in both, but know the moves Tackle/Bite/Fire Fang/Happy Hour in Ultra Sun, but Tackle/Bite/Thunder Fang/Happy Hour in Ultra Moon.
Additionally, if you purchase either Pokémon Gold Version or Pokémon Silver Version on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console before 21 September 2018, you will receive a serial code to download a Celebi to your copy of Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon! Celebi will be lv.30 and know the moves Heal Bell, Safeguard, Ancient Power and Future Sight. The classic games are also now available to pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are launching exclusively on Nintendo 3DS, worldwide, on 17 November 2017.
