The latest Generation 3 Pokémon to be added to Pokémon Go is none other than Kyogre! As the signature Legendary Pokémon of Sapphire on the Game Boy Advance, this is one not to miss.
In order to get yourself the water-type Legendary, you will have to team up with other players. Once you have found partners, you can battle Kyogre in Gyms within Raid Battles. Only after you have overcome Kyogre will you be able to set about catching it yourself.
We’ve had reason to believe this event was coming for some time, as Kyogre was teased in an image released for the recent Pokémon Go holiday event (see above). That same event brought in 20 Pokémon from Generation 3 – specifically, water-types and ice-types from Ruby and Sapphire.
This event starts today and runs until February 14th. The counterpart Legendary, Groudon, is no longer available to catches that opportunity ended yesterday on January 15th. The developer of Pokémon Go, Niantic, hasn’t said whether Groudon will be returning to the game in the future.
Will you be taking the chance to grab Kyogre? Let us know in the comments!
