A new survey about Nintendo games coming in 2018 may signify Pokémon coming to Nintendo Switch this year!
At E3 2017, Tsunekazu Ishihara – president and CEO of The Pokémon Company – confirmed that a mainline Pokémon game was in development for the Nintendo Switch. We have heard no official word of whether it will make 2018, though (rumour is that Nintendo is pushing hard for it to happen).
Twitter user Felipe Lima, though, has posted images from a Nintendo Survey asking about upcoming games in 2018 (see below). The images, coming through e-mail, are untranslated, but clearly the two standouts are Bayonetta 3, only recently revealed at The Game Awards, and an untitled Pokémon game at the end. Take this information with a grain of salt given the inability to 100% confirm through Twitter.

Even so, this by no means ensures that the game will come this year – but it gives us a big hint that Nintendo may be aiming for Pokémon to be the big end-of-year game. Whenever released, it would surely be a massive hit for the system and bring in many new players.
Some added legitimacy is that we don’t see titles like Metroid Prime 4 (also revealed at E3 2017) in the list. That is a game that is extremely unlikely to come this year – if Pokémon is on the list, that may give some hope.
Do you think this is a sign that we could get Pokémon Switch this year? Let us know in the comments or on social media!
