A new post on the official Pokémon Go website has unveiled that as of tomorrow, February 9th, more Generation III Pokémon will be added to the mobile title.
Developers Niantic have been steadily adding Pokémon from the Hoenn region, cleverly theming each release around one of the signature Legendaries from Generation III; Pokémon of the sea with Kyogre, Pokémon of the land alongside Groudon, and now we are seeing airborne Pokémon introduced with Rayquaza.
In the official image, we can deduce that the following Pokémon will definitely be included:
From February 9th to the 13th, all Pokémon from the Hoenn region will be more likely to pop up in wild encounters. In addition, legendary Rayquaza will be available in Gym Raid Battles until March 16th; these Raid Battles may also include some of the new Pokémon! One other way to find them is through hatching Eggs.
There are some extra additions being made to mark this release and help you in your quest to catch ’em all. From February 9th to the 23rd, new special boxes will be in the in-game store – these contain Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces. Also, Lure Modules will last for 6 hours during this time period.
In other Pokémon Go news, a new Community Day is coming soon that features a unique Dratini. The game shows no signs of slowing down content output anytime soon!
