Nintendo Labo is only a couple of months away, and some new videos released today have shown off the specifics of the cardboard creations in more depth.
To start with, we have a 4-minute overview trailer that briefs you on the specifics of how the Toy-Cons work. This is where the controllers of the Nintendo Switch slide into the 3D cardboard mock-ups and allow them to become part of the game – the video, shown below, also goes into how you can personalise your Nintendo Labo with either your imagination or the help of the $9.99 customisation kit:
Additionally, the two different Labo packs get their own videos. The first, the Variety Kit, contains a bunch of smaller cardboard mock-ups from a fishing rod to a piano, and is priced at $69.99. Some new information on the games themselves comes via this video, too:
Finally, our third video of the day looks at the Robot Kit ($79.99). Instead of a multitude of different Labo kits, this instead contains one large and intricate creation. Just like the Variety Kit, we get to see more of the gameplay, which includes the in-game robot being able to transform and fly:
Nintendo Labo is Nintendo’s new line of products that work alongside the Nintendo Switch, and the sets detailed above launch on April 20th this year. The eccentric idea was first publicly unveiled back in January, and you can read why it embodies the spirit of the Switch.
