This Lunar Year is the Year of the Dog, and that means an invasion of pooches in Pokémon Go.
Today, February 16th, is the start of the Lunar New Year, and Pokémon Go is upping the appearance rates of dog-like Pokémon to celebrate. Announced via the official Pokémon website, until February 17th, Poochyena, Growlithe, Eevee, Snubbull and Electrike will be appearing more often.
Furthermore, the Stardust reward for capturing these canines will be multiplied by 3 over this time. Therefore, for those looking to add an evolved form like a Mightyena or an Arcanine to their team, this is an ideal opportunity.
Pokémon Go has been rolling out plenty of events recently. This comes hot off the heels of the Valentine’s Day event, and the addition of more Generation III Pokémon. Also, on February 24th, there will be a Community Day featuring a unique Dratini!
