As Game Freak’s main series of Pokémon games enters the last leg of the current “generation”, the last currently known species has finally been revealed via the Japanese variety show Oha Suta: the Electric-type mythical Pokémon Zeraora.
First discovered in the coding of last year’s Nintendo 3DS pair Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, this brand new critter will be making its debut in the anime film Pokémon The Movie: Everyone’s Story, which is set to open in Japanese cinemas on 13th July 2018.
Zeraora will most likely be distributed for Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon in Japan alongside the movie’s release, then released internationally later in the year. With the focus of this year’s marketing most likely focusing on the last hurrah of the Nintendo 3DS games, this likely means that the unveiling of the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch main series games may have to wait until 2019, or beyond.
