Over the past few days, the internet has been buzzing with speculation about rumoured titles for the Pokémon franchise’s debut on the home console/portable hybrid, the Nintendo Switch. Without anything substantial, we elected to exercise caution until something more concrete surfaced… and now, something has.
CSC Corporate Domains, the same company Nintendo previously used to trademark domains related to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, has been found to have recently trademarked the previously rumoured game names Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go! Eevee.
Back in 2016, the public registration of domains was followed a day later by the official unveiling of Sun & Moon. It is curious that just last week, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda shared this image:

It’s also interesting to note that both Pikachu and Eevee are featured prominently in the upcoming animated film Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story, which opens in Japan this July.
Could this rumour be put to rest soon?
