With the nice weather hitting the UK lately many of us have been out and about playing Pokémon GO, especially thanks to the recent community day events. Now with the summer in sight, Niantic have today announced via their twitter account that soon we’ll be able to encounter Alolan Form Kanto Pokémon in the game.
There currently isn’t much of a timeline for when the new Pokémon will be added, but the official site says they will be appearing “in the coming weeks”.
Back in February of 2017 Pokémon GO started adding Johto Pokémon and then in October of 2017 they began adding Pokémon from Hoenn. Right now the game is still without any Pokémon from the fourth generation onwards, so it seems odd to suddenly jump to adding some Alolan Forms. It sounds like the developers will be sticking to just these forms as a way of celebrating all things Kanto.
Are you looking forward to being able to catch the Alolan Form Kanto Pokémon?
